JAN MARSEILLE

Hi, my name is Jan and I am a husband and father of four daughters. My family and I have a rich and diverse background, with roots in both the Netherlands and Denmark. My parents were officers in the Salvation Army and from birth I lived in Congo, then in the Netherlands, and eventually settled in Denmark.

In 2007, I married my wife Eydritt and together we have four beautiful daughters, the youngest of whom was born in 2022. In addition to enjoying time together as a family, cooking, and traveling, I also have a background in advertising and have run my own agency, Marseille Advertising, since 2010 (closed 2015).

I have also been actively involved in the Salvation Army, in the beginning as volunteer as a teamleader eventually leading a congregation, cafe, thrift store and running a shelter for the homeless.

In the summer of 2021, we made the decision to move to Moss, where we are currently immersing ourselves in theological studies and leadership. We will be returning to Denmark for the summer 2023.

I have always felt a strong calling to serve God and help others. After much prayer and contemplation, I have decided to become a Salvation Army officer with my wife. We are excited to dedicate our lives to this ministry and to the work of the Salvation Army.

As Salvation Army officers, we will be responsible for leading and managing a local corps and other Salvation Army programs. We will provide spiritual guidance and support to members of the Salvation Army and those in need in our community. We may also be involved in evangelism and outreach efforts.

We believe that this is the path that God has called us to, and we are eager to serve Him and make a difference in the world. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve others through the Salvation Army and to make a positive impact in the lives of those around us.
